Be honest: How many times have you seen a link on a site, seen it's an affiliate link, and decided not to directly click on that link. After all, why should you pay an affiliate a commission? The website URL is there for everyone to see, so why not visit the website directly? And with ClickBank, the problem is even worse. By displaying the hoplink on your page, you give the thief all the information they need to create a bogus link. They simply remove your username, and substitute their username. In short, not only do YOU lose your commission ... but the thief gets the goods at a discount as the commission payment is diverted back into their own account! This service - which was initially developed for the author's own use - avoids this problem. Having registered as a user, you simply define a code for a particular product, and register it with the system. For example, let's say your Jum-Pa user code is "aa17". You want to promote a football ebook, and decide on the code "foot1". Your link will now be: Now, there is no way anyone can amend your link. Plus, they don't even know the site they're being redirected too!! What's more, we cloak the site people are redirected too. What this means is that your hoplink is not suddenly revealed in the user's browser window as that would defeat the object of hiding details. The URL continues to show Jum-Pa in the browser window. If your customer decides to order goods from you, they simply enter a code into the order form, and pay a reduced price! Why not give your JV partners a certain code which they pass on to their readers. Again, any customers who sign up will get a discount. You could even do what's known as a "cross promotion"; when people land on your special discount page, offer them a promotion from another partner at a discount price.
